"The Power To Achieve"
A great success! Thank you!
Montreal's Dr. Ashok Oommen has a mission: promoting the
prevention of life-threatening diseases and improving the overall quality of life.
While practicing Emergency Medicine in McGill University's hospitals and observing first hand the dire
implications of certain life choices, Dr. Oommen has had ample opportunity to conclude that
prevention was the best way to save lives and enhance quality of life: "I strongly believe in
prevention. In 2011, we have the technology and the know-how to prevent serious diseases."
Putting words to action, Dr. Oommen started the Cardiogenix Medical Centre. The Centre's
mission is to empower and inspire people in becoming proactive in protecting their health. As
Medical Director, Dr. Oommen leads a team of committed health care professionals,
including doctors, nurses, dieticians, kinesiologists and psychologists, all working together to
help clients lead longer and healthier lives. Cardiogenix is, among other things, concerned
with preventing heart attacks, strokes and diabetes, the leading causes of death in North
America.
Dr. Oommen wants you to live a long, strong, and happy life and is committed to spreading the word. He regularly contributes his medical expertise through his public education activities. "I want everyone to know that they can take steps today to prevent serious illnesses ten years down the road. I believe that educating via the media is one of the best ways to teach as many people as possible how to do this in a simple, easy to understand way."
